Note: this issue only affects iOS users.
Do you have the ING app installed on your smartphone, but do you want to pay an invoice via POM through an account at another bank?
After choosing Bancontact as payment method in POM, you should see a selection screen showing the Bancontact app and other banking apps (which have integrated the Bancontact functionality) installed on your device.
Currently, this screen is no longer presented however. Instead, you’ll be redirected automatically to the ING app.
Unfortunately, this is happening beyond our control. The bank's technical team is working on a fix however, which will be available as soon as possible via an upcoming app update.
As an alternative, it is possible today in POM to pay with a different bank account via Sign2Pay (you just need to connect your bank account to your Sign2Pay account). You could also temporarily remove the ING app from your device and add both your ING and your other account(s) to the Bancontact app. This way it will be possible to keep using Bancontact as a payment method in POM.
We are following up on this issue closely and are in contact with ING to get it fixed as soon as possible.
To speed up the process, it can also be helpful to report this issue to the customer service department of ING.
